Vegas took a lot out of me physically and it took a full day once I got back of no poker or anything to really relax and get my body back in the normal work/poker mode. Last night I finally was able to keep my eyes open after work and figured i’d put in a decent session on Full Tilt. I am going to stick to 3-6 for the rest of the month unless I go on a heater as I want to just get back into the groove before I move up to the 5-10 level.
The action started pretty slow as one guy tried to play me but I realized he was playing 10-20 as well and I quit up a quick 100 on him. I then beat a short stack for 120 and another guy who bought in for 332.5. Those guys just bring a smile to my face as they are virtually dead money. The hand with him was he rerasied to 42 pre when i made it 18 with J 9. The flop game A J 9 and he bet 50 i called. The turn was a 8 and he bet 100 i put him all in for another 100 or so and he called with Q J and i dodged his two pair/straight outs. That got me up a quick 500 on the night. I then ran into a little trouble when a guy hit and run me for 200ish and another guy beat me for 200 and left as well. Both these guys ran insanely well and would just hit every hand. They were not getting good value for there hands though as short stacks typically don’t so it saved me some money. I was up around 300 when this guy who was playing one table bought in for 600. I was hoping to stack him and end the night. I got him down to 300ish when on the second hand he reraised to 75 pre and i called with 7 7. Flop is k 5 5 and he bets 50 i call. Turn is the 7! he bets 50 i again just call as with the nuts in this hand I wanted him to either catch or bluff again on the river. The river is a 6 and he bets 50 again…i make it 250 but he folds…i think my 7’s were good all along without the third 7. I am able to get him to overplay some hands and finally bust him when he pushes with second pair and I call with top pair. That got me up 900 on the night and I called it quits.
On a side note in Vegas Thankqeher and I met this kid nairb09 in the sportsbook at the Wynn. It was funny cause we were talking about poker and he heard and joined our convo…we found out hes a regular on full tilt in the same levels we play. Anyways he says gl to thankqeher last night at the tables and then later on sits at my table and posts..I say hey nairb gl and no thanks…he didn’t remember me but told me at the wynn he doesn’t play regulars. I wasn’t in the mood last night but next time he sits Im going to play him and hopefully take a couple buy ins off him. It would be great to play someone I actually met as putting faces to screen names is cool sometimes. Anyways just a little side story there. Im out for now…but gl guys!
